Leal's Tortilla Factory has been running out of Muleshoe in the Texas Panhandle since 1957 — sixty-seven years of the same three-ingredient corn tortilla process. Stone-ground masa, no preservatives, made the same way Irma and Jesse Leal started it. We supply restaurants from Lubbock to Amarillo to Dallas to San Antonio through Sysco, Ben E. Keith, and US Foods, which means if your restaurant already orders through one of the big three, you can add Leal's to your next order without changing your buying process.

Texas restaurants know the difference between a tortilla that holds up under heat and one that tears when you try to fold it. Our corn tortillas are stone-ground fresh, which gives them the pliability and flavor that mass-produced lines flatten out. Our flour tortillas are made to perform on a busy line — soft, consistent, no preservatives. The chips we sell are cut and fried from our own corn tortillas, which is why they taste like an actual chip and not a filler product.

How Texas Restaurants Order Leal's

Texas tortillas and tortilla chips, and how they get to your kitchen.

Available through Sysco, Ben E. Keith, and US Foods — or direct pickup from our factory in Muleshoe.

The Texas restaurant market is one of the most competitive in the country, and the buyers we talk to — in Lubbock, Amarillo, Midland-Odessa, the Dallas-Fort Worth metro, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston — are sourcing from distributors who already carry us. Restaurants in the Panhandle and South Plains often pick up directly from the factory at 109 E Ash Ave, Muleshoe TX 79347. For the rest of the state, your Sysco or Ben E. Keith rep can pull our full product line. US Foods carries us as well.

We are not a national brand. We are a West Texas factory that has kept the same process for nearly seventy years because the process works. Three ingredients in the corn tortilla. No preservatives in either line. Volcanic stone from Mexico still on the grinder. If your restaurant puts real food on the table, your tortillas should match.

Common Questions

What restaurants usually ask us.

What Texas metros do you supply?
We supply statewide through our three main distributors — Sysco, Ben E. Keith, and US Foods. That network covers Lubbock, Amarillo, Midland-Odessa, Dallas-Fort Worth, Austin, San Antonio, and Houston. Restaurants within about two hours of Muleshoe can also arrange direct pickup at the factory.
Do your Texas tortillas have preservatives?
No. Our corn tortillas are three ingredients: corn, water, and food-grade lime (cal). Our flour tortillas are made without preservatives either. That is not a marketing claim — it is what the ingredient label says.
How do I order through Sysco or Ben E. Keith in Texas?
Ask your Sysco or Ben E. Keith rep to pull Leal's Tortilla Factory products. We are an active supplier in both networks. If you run into trouble, call us at (806) 272-5772 and we will help you locate the right contact.
Can Texas restaurants pick up direct from the factory?
Yes. We are at 109 E Ash Ave, Muleshoe TX 79347, open Monday through Friday, 8 am to 2 pm. If you are coming from Lubbock, it is about 70 miles. Amarillo is roughly 90 miles. Call ahead so we can have your order ready.
